How to Spin in SpinPractices

A full 360 that still ends with a shot on the dummy.

How to Spin

A spin in SpinPractices is not a dance emote. It is a full camera orbit while you keep the revolver on the dummy. Hood gunfights use that motion to break tracking and still land the first shot. This trainer exists so you can learn the orbit without dying to a real player. The video in the middle of this page is a real Roblox 360 tutorial — the WASD circle and jump flick are the same grammar, even though the map is an obby in the clip and a car shop here.

The three pieces

  1. Shift lock on. Without it you cannot orbit. See controls if Shift does nothing.
  2. Mouse circle. From dummy-on-screen, flick the mouse through a full 360 so the dummy returns to the same pixel. Start slow. Speed is a later layer.
  3. WASD recovery. While the camera turns, your movement keys must rotate with it. A common PC pattern is W-A-S-D in one direction and D-S-A-W in the other. If you hold W the whole time, you charge the glass.

Jump is optional. A jump 360 looks better and changes the dummy’s screen height. Land before you shoot unless you are specifically training air shots.

Drill ladder

Do not start with a jump 360 on day one. Use this ladder, ten reps each:

  1. Camera only. Stand still, 360, dummy should still be in the reticle when you finish. No shot.
  2. Add a shot. Same 360, fire once as the dummy re-centers. Chest is a win.
  3. Add strafe. A or D during the orbit so you are not a statue.
  4. Half then full. 180s until they are boring, then 360s.
  5. Jump 360. Jump, orbit, land, shoot. If you shoot in the air and miss, you practiced missing.

Log hits on the practice planner. If step 1 fails, your sensitivity is too high. Lower Roblox camera sense until a slow circle is possible.

Why spins miss

  • Overspin. You pass the dummy and correct late. Slow the mouse; do not add more flicks.
  • Underspin. You stop at 270 degrees and panic-shoot the wall. Finish the circle with no bullet, then add the bullet.
  • Key drift. You hold W. Watch your feet. If you walk into the BMW, your keys did not recover.
  • Hat / outfit block. Bulky avatars hide the dummy during the back half of the spin. Unequip huge accessories while you train — the place is also indexed as Outfits SpinPractices for a reason.
  • Sense mismatch. A 360 that works in an obby will overshoot a human-sized dummy. This range is not an obby. Recalibrate here.

Mobile and console spins

On mobile, a 360 is a full right-thumb circle. Most players should train 180 tracking first. On controller, a full stick roll at high sense skips the dummy entirely. Drop look sensitivity until a slow roll keeps the dummy on-screen, then speed up.

Transfer

A clean trainer 360 that you cannot repeat in a real gunfight is still useful — it means the mechanic is learned and the problem is panic. After a good block, play one real match with the same DPI and shift lock. Do not change sense between the car shop and the match. How to play is the session wrapper; how to improve aim is what you do when the spin is fine and the bullet is not.

Rank this mechanic against other drills on the tier list. Use the warmup so you do not skip the slow circle. The Guides hub lists siblings, including Getting Started if you still cannot find the dummy.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for SpinPractices sessions, settings, and drills.

Do I jump every spin?

No. Landed 360s first. Jump 360s are a later drill.

Which direction should I spin?

Train both. Most players are smoother one way; gunfights will not pick your favorite.

Is spinning required to use the trainer?

No. You can train static aim. The map is named SpinPractices because the 360 is the skill people come for.

Will a script spin for me?

Some scripts include spinbots. That removes the skill. See script safety.
